When you submit an intake or contact form we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, business details, and any documents you choose to upload. The site also records technical information that browsers send automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, which our hosting provider uses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Please do not enter Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers into web forms. Once you become a client, sensitive documents go through the encrypted client portal.
We use the information you provide to respond to your request, evaluate whether we can help, prepare an engagement letter, and, once you are a client, to perform the services you engage us for. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use your information for advertising.
Tax return information is protected by federal law, including Internal Revenue Code sections 7216 and 6713, and by the professional standards that apply to certified public accountants. We use and disclose tax return information only as those rules allow, which generally means to prepare your returns and to provide the services you have asked for, unless you give us written consent for another use.
We use service providers to host this website, receive form submissions, provide email, operate the client portal, obtain electronic signatures, and process payments. They may process your information only to provide those services to us and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Where a provider stores data outside the United States, we choose providers that maintain appropriate safeguards.
We keep intake information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the period required by professional standards and tax law, generally at least seven years after the end of an engagement. Prospective client information that does not lead to an engagement is deleted within a reasonable period.
